Split-path resolution

If a complex splitting would be the best solution to a clip path conflict, you can use the split-path technique by which an outline is drawn between the overlapping areas. To draw the outline you can use lines, or BEH arcs, or both.

To use split-path resolution

1. On the contextual edit bar, click Draw Split Path .

The Draw Split Path dialog box appears on the Draw Split Line page.

2. Use the line-drawing or BEH-arc-drawing modes, or both, to draw the split outline.

3. After you have drawn the split path, click Next.

The Draw Split Line page of the Draw Split Path dialog box appears.

4. Preview the clip path conflict resolution. You can go back and edit the drawing.

5. To apply the split-line resolution, click Finish.
