Drawing lines and axes

You can draw:

• Regular lines
• Connected tangent lines
• Tangent lines
• Axes

Notes

• You can modify a drawn line by dragging it by one of its control points. During the dragging, the second control point remains immovable and the line is modified according to the direction and distance at which you are dragging. This operation will only take effect if: (1) the line is not selected and (2) its control points do not coincide with the control points of another objects. If the line is connected to other objects, dragging its control points will modify both the line and the connected objects.
• During drawing or repositioning a regular line or a tangent line, when you enter a value in one of the edit boxes in the contextual edit bar and then move to a next edit box, the line preview will be limited according to the specified value. Consider the following example:

If you place the starting point of a regular line, then in Dx enter a value of 40 mm, and then press TAB to move to Dy, when you point to define the location of the end point the mouse pointer's movement will be restricted by the imaginary vertical line stretching at 40 mm from the starting point along the x-axis. To drag the object's preview freely again, in the respective edit box (Length, Dx or Dy, but not Angle) enter 0.00, and then press TAB to move to the next edit box.NOTE: The zero-value rule applies only to distance values and not for angles, circle diameters, arc radii and radii of auxiliary circles inscribing or circumscribing regular polygons.
